Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival & Check-In
Arrive in Moshi or Arusha. Your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, organizing your hiking gear, and exploring the town. Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 2
The Mandara Hut Trek
Enjoy an early breakfast before a 45-minute drive to Marangu Gate (1,879m). You will hike through the lush, emerald rainforest with your guide for 3–4 hours, arriving at Mandara Hut (2,720m) for a well-earned picnic lunch. Afterward, take a short 15-minute walk up to Maundi Crater for panoramic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Kenya. Trek back down to the gate and return to your hotel for a celebratory evening.
Day 3
Rest & Local Excursion
Take the day to rest your legs. You can enjoy a half-day excursion to the nearby Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour or take a relaxing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Kikuletwa (Chemka) Hot Springs. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 4
Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and enjoy a convenient transfer back to the airport or bus terminal to head home.
